Ice Cream Truck

We are in one of the few areas in Hawaii that has an ice cream truck. He only comes by on Sunday evenings and this is the first time we let Opi have some. She was scared at first but then in love. She totally hogged the cone.

Fingerpainting!

Today we fingerpainted up a storm!
Opi displays her lovely artwork.
She also painted herself of course!
I love how kids have total freedom with their artwork. No lines, no rules...just go for it.
She also made these jellyfish at school. I think they are fabulous!

Trip to the Big Island

We went to the Big Island with the Kenneys a few weeks ago and still have to upload some pics. This is the start, the airplane ride, Opal's favorite part! More to come.

Cousins

This is what happens when you take the cousins to Safeway. They stayed in there the whole time.

Stacking

If it involves stacking, Opal wants to do it. These things are called Wedgits and are her new fave. She will stack anything; shampoo bottles, boxes of mac n chees, books...you name it!

Backpack

Here is Opal on her first day of her school/toddler program. She insists on wearing this purple back pack. I can't even mention school until 5 minutes before we leave because she gets so excited and when I pick her up, she doesn't want to come home!

Tea Party

Our friend Jenny had a birthday teaparty for Opi's little girlfriends. Opal is the oldest and they are all 3 weeks apart. There was a lot of spilling but luckily not much fighting.
Happy birthday girl.
This is Opal's pal, Mia. Sunglasses on the head are her thing.
And this is Cella, Jenny's daughter. She managed to lock herself in the house and we had to cut through a screen door to get her out...oops.

A Few More Bday Pics

My sister had to pry her off this carousel. She is crazy for it now! Asked me about the "horse" three times today while making a riding motion!
Our little family!

Opal Turns 2!!

Yesterday was Opi's 2nd birthday and Opi had a blast! She's never been to a bday party so she was super excited. Today she is singing Happy Birthday all day and won't let me take down the decorations.
Loving the "happy cakes"...that is her name for cake. Too cute!
Mama and Opi enjoying cupcakes.
Puna brought Opal a whole bunch of balloons, isn't this monkey cute?
At the end of the night she still wanted to wear her party hat!

Waikiki Aquarium

We had so much fun at the aquarium today! Opal sat in this bubble for a long time.
If you look closely you can see clownfish. She had fun yelling "Nemo" every time they would pop out of the anenome.
Wanting to touch them.

Pool Days

Thank goodness for the Lakes and their pool on these hot summer days. We've been going there alot lately because we can take the potty. My life is determined by where i can take a lovely pink potty.
This is my favorite picture I have ever taken of Opal. There is nothing cuter than a fat girl in a small bikini.

Waimanalo Beach

Da-Da and Opi are looking at a turtle. If you look really closely you can see his head popping out of the water in the distance.
Sitting on the picnic table after the beach.

Playing With Sand Balls

Our happy little family.
Da-Da and Opi love to throw sandballs!

Opal Loves Babies!

This Opi's favorite baby friend, Eddy Mahina. She loves to have Eddy sit in her lap and hug her. Too cute!

Dancing Queen

This is Opi's new dance partner. She is really into dancing right now and as soon as the music starts, she runs to grab the frog and then bounces all over the living room!

Waterpark Action

Mama & Opi went to the waterpark with Puna, Pono and Lars and had a blast. She begged to go on the big kid slides but wasn't 48" so got denied. The camera ran out of space so we couldn't take more pics...bummer. She must have gone on this slide 40 times. We are going back to Da-Da can see how much see loves it!

Belly Flop

Doesn't this look painful? She can do this all day long!

Opi Can Almost Swim!

We are so excited that Opal is almost swimming! We have been spending a ton of time at the beach and pool the last few weeks. We are just trying to get her to position her body horizontally not vertically.
